hobbler place homes

Hobbler Place is a 99 unit subdivision located in Northwest Boise. The Boise City/Ada County Housing Authority developed these home sites in order to assist moderate income families in purchasing homes.

The Hobbler Place homeownership program was designed for eligible families who were required to rent for a minimum of one year in order to qualify for purchase. Once the family qualified to purchase they were able to proceed in acquiring below market-rate financing while the Housing Authority assisted with a down payment credit (which was up to 10%) of the fair market value of the home.

These 1100+ square foot homes have three bedrooms and two baths. Each home has a living room, dining area, a kitchen equipped with a range, dishwasher, disposal, and refrigerator, two car garage, and fenced back yards. The units are serviced with gas heat, gas hot water, and have central air conditioning.

The home sites are located in the Boise School district, and resident children attend the recently constructed Shadow Hills Elementary (1997), River Glen Junior High School (1998), and Capital High School.
