SEMAP (Section Eight Management Assessment Program) is an annual certification prepared by housing authorities that operate a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. Boise City Housing Authority received a score of 95 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2005. Ada County Housing Authority received a score of 100 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2005. Housing authorities with SEMAP scores of at least 90 are considered High Performers under SEMAP.
Housing authorities that achieve an overall performance rating of High Performer may receive national recognition by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and may be given a competitive advantage under notices of fund availability.
For more than thirty-five years, the Boise City/Ada County Housing Authority has played a key role in providing housing opportunities for low and moderate-income residents in Ada County. Through its rental and project-based assistance programs, Boise City/Ada County Housing Authority currently assists 2,400 low-income households every month. Boise City/Ada County Housing Authority also administers an assisted homeownership program that to date has assisted over 60 families in securing the American dream of owning their own home. Boise City/Ada County Housing Authority’s mission is to enhance our community by providing safe and affordable housing and fostering self-sufficiency and stability for people in need.
